(Episodes 1 - 7)

Here you will find brief episode summaries for Seihou Tenshi: Angel Links. I have also included some of my own personal comments about each episode.
Spoilers on these pages are minimal; feel free to browse without fear of encountering any spoilers that would give away the main plot of the story.

Story Background

Angel Links takes place in the Oracion system, where peace is disrupted by hordes of space pirates. Enter Li Meifon, a 16-year-old who inherited a fortune left by her late grandfather, Li Chenhou.
Fulfilling his dying wish, Meifon takes over the Links Group, and heads Angel Links, a private security company which provides free protection services for escorts & convoys against space pirates.

Episode 1: "Angel Through the Heavens"

The episode begins with some space pirates attacking a carrier. Angel Links shows up at the scene and drives the pirates away, finishing them off with the almighty Links Cannon..
Afterwards, Meifon & company attends a social party, but it turns out that one of its guests, the wealthy transport tycoon & philanthropist, Leon Lau, and his adopted child, Yayoi, have been held hostage by Acid-B pirates. Their boss, Rigo demands a ransom of precious Dragonite stones in exchange for their safety.
It is up to Angel Links to make the drop-off and get the hostages back safely.

*Comments:
I really enjoyed the first episode. The Angel Links made a grand & dramatic (though slightly exaggerated) entrance and introductions to all its members were carried out in a light-hearted & subtle manner.
A good share of action & fight scenes, as well as some cliff-hangers (like Meifon's flashback) nicely round up the first episode.

Episode 2: "A Dump's Fairy Tale"
-

It is another day in the business for Angel Links. Meifon goes through the list of customers, but feels that none of them are worth helping out. She ends up helping Marcot, a man whom she happened to meet in the streets. He transports goods as a living to support his wife & child, and this was his last job.
However, things are not what it seems when space pirates began hitting on Marco's ship, which supposedly only contain grains.

*Comments:
I felt that this episode was kind of dry; the villains looked dumb and the story had nothing to do with the main plot of the series.
On the other hand, it did show Valeria's expertise in handling ship-to-ship battle situations and there was mention of her previous ties with the Einhorn Empire.

Episode 3: "The Proud Dragon"

The Angel Links crew receives a job from the museum to assist in the transportation of the statue of a humanoid dinosaur, supposed to be 60-million-years old. However, the man-in-charge, Warren does not seem to welcome them and treats them with contempt, especially Duuz.
Moments after take-off, the convoy was attacked and infiltrated by a group of pirates. Meifon & Duuz decides to board the transport ship to take out the pirates themselves.

*Comments:
An entire episode revolving around Duuz himself! I enjoyed his episode very much. I have always found Duuz's speech interesting & amusing. Plus, we get treated to some nice fight scenes.
One may wonder why Duuz spends so much time polishing his sword when he doesn't draw any blood with it in battle...

Episode 4: "LiEF - Living Ether Flier"
-

The LiEF is a huge creature that wanders through space. Having lived for centuries, it is rumored to hold the secret to immortality.
Angel Links is employed to protect the LiEf & its child as they make their way through the sector.

*Comments:
Another strange filler episode with a ridiculous-looking villain. Again, it has nothing to do with the main plot. Nevertheless, we are introduced to the Angel Links' fighter squadron, headed by the ace pilot Yaeger.
We also learn that aside from being a good fighter, Meifon can also pilot a ship pretty well herself (hers is even custom-painted).

Episode 5: "The Rain Falling on the Stars"

The Angel Links has recently been pursued by a pirate ship which showers them with gun fire, but doesn't seem to have any ill intentions. It turns out that the one behind all this is Jessia Garland, a tomboyish pirate girl who have grown attracted to Kosei at first sight when she first saw him at a bar.
Meifon insists that Kosei settle the matter himself by taking Jessia out on a date.

*Comments::
It's Kosei's turn for his own personal story! We get to see the 'playboy' side of Kosei while he is off-duty; he is constantly being approached by one of his many girlfriends while walking in the streets.
Strangely enough, this episode 'spoiled' itself by showing that brief scene at the beginning...

Episode 6: "Crossroad"
-

This episode is essentially a flashback which describes the initial formation of Angel Links, up to the present time.
After Chenhou's death, Meifon was assisted by a resourceful young man, Kosei, who was hand-picked by her own grandfather. They ran selections for the initial batch of crew members, but stress, conflicts & disagreements were abound, resulting in their first sortie to be a huge disaster.
Meifon begins work on assembling a new crew. With Kosei's help, she hires Valeria & Duuz and ran even more selections, making up the remaining members of the current Angel Links crew whom we know & love.

*Comments:
This episode lets loose with the details on the background story of Angel Links. I found it very interesting to learn about the development of the Angel Links crew. The Valeria & Duuz sections were especially nice & fun to watch.

Episode 7: "Angel & Fallen Angel"
-

Meifon receives a invitation to listen to the Song of the Mermaids. She decides to show up for it and sees Leon Lau waiting for her. The both of them spends the rest of the day together, with Yayoi tagging along.
As if in some sort of trance, Meifon wanders off to a forest clearing and this triggers more flashbacks about her mysterious past.

*Comments:
This episode about a seemingly light-hearted & romantic date turns out to be more that what it seems. More of Meifon's past is revealed, creating more uncertainty and unanswered questions.
