Episode 8: "My Ship"
-

Meifon & Kosei were about to close a deal when the shipment was stolen from right under their noses. The job was found to be pulled by men from the "Outside" and their leader is a Tao Master named Sairus.
Despite Kosei's protest, Meifon takes full responsibility and is determined to get the goods back themselves.

*Comments:
A strange episode with a goofy-looking baddie. Nevertheless, this villain pays tribute to the pirates from Outlaw Star with his incessant Tao magic chants.
This is also one of the few occasions where we see the 4 main characters together on an action-packed romp.

Episode 9: "A Pheasant Chooses its Own Tree"

During one of their runs, the Angel Links stumbles across an armada belonging to the Einhorn Empire. Valeria immediately recognizes Laurence, one of her old acquaintances.
Valeria later meets Lawrence in a bar. He offers her a high position in the Einhorn Empire in exchange for confidential data concerning the Angel Links & its crew. It is now up to Valeria to choose her own path...

*Comments:
This episodes delves a bit into Valeria's past and deals with her past affiliation with the Einhorn Empire. Again, this episode shows that Valeria lives up to her reputation as a highly-efficient tactical officer.
Interestingly enough, the title of this episode is that of a crossword puzzle that Duuz asked Valeria.

Episode 10: "Those who were Forgotten"
-

Meifon's latest client is Urgen, an old friend of Chenhou. He asks for her services in escorting him & his grand-daughter, Marcia.
In an unexpected turn of events, they were attacked by Gordon Hoi's ship. Urgen & Marcia were both killed, throwing Meifon into a blind rage.
This was when Meifon finally realized the truth about her past...

*Comments:
This episode is a turning point in the anime and the series begins to take on a darker tone.
The main villain, Gouryu makes his appearance and Meifon's past is unfolded; most would be pretty shocked & surprised at the sudden plot twist.

Episode 11: "Between 0 & 1"

Meifon is unable to accept the truth and disbands the Angel Links. Kosei decides to help lessen her pain by taking her to a countryside town to begin her new life. However, Meifon is unable to escape her fate and realizes what she has to do: kill Gouryu.
The Angel Links crew pays Meifon a visit, hoping to persuade her to return to them. They brought Yayoi along, but it turns out Gouryu has infected her with a deadly virus. Unless the vaccine is obtained, she will die.

*Comments::
This episode talks about how Meifon tries to overcome her painful memories. Unfortunately, things don't turn out well, and she finally decides that she will have to face it head-on instead of trying to run away from it forever.

Episode 12: "All My Soul"
-

Meifon is determined to take on Gouryu herself and sets off in the Angel Links alone. Kosei & the rest decide to follow her in the Assault Carrier. The crew finally catches up with Meifon near the planet Mistill; the place where it all began.
However, their reunion is short-lived as they are attacked by a huge ship. Meifon tries to help her friends, but the Angel Links is drawn by a mysterious force towards the planet.
Kosei & Duuz attempt to catch up with Meifon in a small ship, while Valeria & the Yeager Squadron holds off the enemy.

*Comments:
Kosei & gang finally catches up with Meifon and their conversation has a nice heart-warming feel to it, drawing the message across that friends stick together through thick & thin.
The climatic ship battle in the 2nd half of the episode is exciting & fun to watch. Fans will be able to instantly recognize how the villains are reminiscent of a certain Outlaw Star character. :)

Episode 13: "Piece of an Angel"

Meifon finally arrives at the heart of the fortress and comes face-to-face with Gouryu. Gouryu expresses his love for Meifon and tries to persuade her to join him. However, she sees through his deception and declines.
Kosei, Duuz and Valeria also arrives at the scene. They can only look on as Meifon prepares to take on Gouryu in a duel that would finally put an end to everything...

*Comments:
Well, here we are; the final episode. As usual, Duuz kicks butt with his sword and Valeria is always there to help him out.
I shall not say much, as doing so will give away much of the plot. Just watch it and enjoy every moment of it yourself. :)
My only gripe is the ending, which had quite a depressing feel to it. Nevertheless, Angel Links was a fun & enjoyable experience!
